The legal professional title is lawyer. The professional title was awarded in the Federal Republic of Germany. Lawyers are subject to the following professional regulations: The Federal Lawyers' Code (BRAO), the Professional Code for Lawyers (BORA), the Specialist Lawyers' Code (FAO), the Law on the Remuneration of Lawyers (Lawyers' Remuneration Act — RVG), the Professional Rules of Attorneys of the European Union (CCBE) and the Act on the Activities of European Lawyers in Germany of March 9 (2000 EurAG).
