The Düsseldorf Higher Regional Court has published the new Düsseldorf table for 2020, which is primarily relevant for determining child support. The new Düsseldorf 2020 table is valid from 01.01.2020.

In the Düsseldorf table In consultation with the other Higher Regional Courts in Germany and the Maintenance Commission of the German Family Court Day, the Higher Regional Court (Higher Regional Court) Düsseldorf sets child support and the minimum that must remain with a person liable for maintenance (so-called deductible) fixed. The Düsseldorf table determines how much support a child is entitled to from separated parents. Even though the Düsseldorf table has no legal force, it is as influential as a law for the case law of all family courts.

The Düsseldorf table was adjusted to reflect the increased cost of living.
Compared to 2019, children will once again receive more support in 2020. The support for students, who now receive 860€ in maintenance (2019:735€), is being increased in particular.
The increase in the cost of living is also reflected in the Düsseldorf table for the. For maintenance obligations, the deductible (i.e. what must remain after maintenance) has been significantly increased.
